Former Congressman John Tanner Endorses Mayor Chaz Molder In His Bid For Tennessee’s Fifth Congressional District

COLUMBIA, TN: Today, candidate for U.S. Congress and Mayor of Columbia, Tennessee, Chaz Molder announced the endorsement of former Congressman John Tanner (TN-08) for his bid for Tennessee’s Fifth Congressional District. Congressman Tanner left a legacy of bringing resources back to his district and working across the aisle to ensure his constituents were adequately represented.

“Chaz Molder has deep family ties in the Middle and West TN counties that now comprise the 5th Congressional District,” said Congressman Tanner. “This is important because he knows who we are, where we live, and what our values mean to us. I have no doubt that he can effectively represent us in the United States Congress. Chaz is a devoted family man and possesses the energy, intellect, and vision sorely needed in our nation’s capital. In this time of political division, I know Chaz has the courage to do what is right for us and for America. I wholeheartedly endorse his candidacy and urge all of us to elect Chaz Molder to the United States Congress.”

“Having been married to a Ripley, TN native and the special place in my heart that this area holds, I never imagined I would have an opportunity to represent rural West Tennessee in Congress,” said Mayor Chaz Molder. “I couldn’t be more excited and I am so appreciative of Congressman John Tanner’s endorsement and support. He served his country through military service and congressional service. He represented his home area with distinction and never forgot where he came from. He’s the kind of Congressman I am striving to be.”
